Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus vs EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 for home backup
Two 240V-capable power stations compared from their own spec tables: capacity, expansion ceilings, where the watts actually come out, and the four figures Anker publishes for the base F3800 but not for the Plus.

6,000 W total AC output, delivered through a NEMA L14-30R rated 120V/240V at 25A, from a 3,840 Wh unit that accepts up to six expansion batteries.
4,096 Wh with 4,000 W continuous, an 8,000 W surge, a flat 10 ms UPS switchover and a 12 kWh single-unit expansion ceiling, all printed in one spec table.
Every figure is a manufacturer datasheet spec. We have not lab-tested these units.
These are the two plug-in units most often shortlisted against each other for home backup, and they are genuinely close on the numbers that get advertised. They are not close on how completely each maker documents its product, which turns out to be the more useful difference.
One note before the specs, because it decides whether the rest of this page is accurate. Anker sells a base SOLIX F3800 and an F3800 Plus, and their spec tables are not the same document. Everything below refers to the Plus, which is the model we cover, and where the base unit publishes something the Plus does not, we say so rather than borrowing the figure. The two spec tables, side by side
Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus (source: Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus, read August 6, 2026):
- Capacity: 3,840 Wh.
- Battery chemistry: LFP, 3,000+ cycles.
- Expandable capacity: up to 6 expansion batteries at 3.84 kWh each. No single-unit kWh total is published.
- AC output power, total: 6,000 W max.
- AC output, 120V: 120V at 20A max, 60Hz, 2,400 W max.
- AC output, NEMA L14-30R: 120V/240V at 25A max, 60Hz, 6,000 W max.
- AC input: 120V at 15A max under 3 hours, 12A max continuous. Charging power 1,800 W max, bypass mode 1,440 W max.
- Solar input: 11 to 165V at 17A max, 1,600 W max each port, which Anker's page copy totals at 3,200 W.
- HPP and generator adapter port: 6,000 W max in and 6,000 W max out, 120V/240V.
- Size and weight: 27.6 by 15.3 by 15.6 in including wheels, 136.7 lb.
- Warranty: 5 years.
- Not published on the Plus spec table: AC surge output, UPS switch time, IP rating, single-unit expansion total in kWh.
EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 (source: EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3, read August 6, 2026):
- Rated capacity: 4,096 Wh.
- Cell chemistry: LFP. Cycle life: 4,000 cycles to 80 percent capacity.
- Expandable capacity, single unit: 12 kWh with two DP3 extra batteries.
- Expandable capacity, system: 36 kWh with six extra batteries, on a "System" row that also publishes 12 kW of scalability. Since a single DELTA Pro 3 is rated 4,000 W, that 12 kW implies three units rather than one, so read the 36 kWh as a three-box figure and not as one unit's ceiling. EcoFlow's 48 kWh figure carries its own footnote requiring three DELTA Pro 3 units, three extra batteries, three Smart Generator 4000 units and a Smart Home Panel 2. The single-unit ceiling is the 12 kWh figure above.
- AC continuous output: 4,000 W, or 6,000 W with X-Boost. Surge: 8,000 W.
- AC output: 120/240V at 16.7A, 60Hz, 4,000 W total.
- Outlets: four NEMA 5-20R at 20A and one NEMA TT-30R at 30A on 120V; one NEMA 6-20R at 16.7A on 240V; one NEMA L14-30R at 16.7A on 120/240V.
- UPS: 10 ms.
- Solar input: 2,600 W total across two ports. AC charging input: 100 to 240V at 15A, charge only.

Where the watts come out
Both makers qualify their headline power, and the qualifications are different in kind.
Anker's 6,000 W is a total that lives on one port. The Plus spec table rates its 120V AC output at 2,400 W max and its NEMA L14-30R at 6,000 W max. So the full rating is available to a 240V-capable connection, typically a transfer switch or a 240V appliance, and not to the wall-style outlets.
EcoFlow's 4,000 W is a combined ceiling across everything: the spec table prints "120/240V, 16.7A, 60Hz, 4,000W total" for AC output. Nothing on the unit exceeds it, and no single port carries a bigger number. The 6,000 W X-Boost figure is a software mode, not a hardware rating, so we print 4,000 W.
The practical read: if a well pump, a dryer, or a whole transfer switch is the reason you are shopping, Anker gives you half again the output through the port that feeds it. If your plan is extension cords to a fridge, a freezer, a router and a few lamps, the two units are much closer than 6,000 against 4,000 suggests, because Anker's 120V bank tops out at 2,400 W. Expansion ceilings, kept honest
This is where the marketing and the spec tables diverge most.
Single unit. EcoFlow publishes 12 kWh with two extra batteries, in the spec table, plainly. Anker publishes an expansion count for the Plus, up to six batteries at 3.84 kWh each, and no kWh total. We are not going to do that arithmetic and print the result as a specification, because it would be our number, not Anker's.
System. Anker's page advertises "Starts at 3.84kWh (6kW), expandable to 53.8kWh (12kW)" and, in the same bullet list, "120V/240V, 6kW AC output per unit." The 12 kW figure is therefore twice the per-unit rating, which places it in multi-station territory by Anker's own wording. EcoFlow's 36 kWh and 48 kWh figures each carry an explicit footnote listing the extra hardware required.
Neither is misconduct. Both are the same trap: the number on the page and the box on the truck can be tens of kilowatt-hours apart. Size against the single-unit column, then decide what expansion actually costs.
What Anker does not publish for the Plus
Four spec lines exist for the base F3800 and not for the Plus: AC surge output, UPS switch time, IP rating, and a single-unit expansion total in kWh. Anker's base F3800 page publishes a 9,000 W surge and a UPS switch time under 20 ms. The socket difference between the two is on Anker's own side-by-side table on the Plus page: the Plus carries a NEMA TT-30 at 3,000 W max on 120V plus an L14-30 at 6,000 W max on 240V, while the base F3800 carries a NEMA 14-50 and an L14-30, each 6,000 W max at 240V. We are not going to carry those across, because the two products differ in ways that make the transfer unsafe. The Plus is 4.4 lb heavier, publishes 3,200 W of solar input against the base unit's 2,400 W, has a different outlet complement, and adds a 6,000 W bidirectional port for the Home Power Panel and generator. Those are different hardware. A surge rating measured on one is not a specification of the other.
So for the F3800 Plus, treat 6,000 W as the number you size against, and assume nothing about how fast it transfers. EcoFlow, by contrast, publishes an 8,000 W surge and a flat 10 ms UPS figure with no mode qualifier attached, which is the cleanest switchover disclosure we have found among the units we cover. Cycle life and warranty, on the same basis
For once the two figures are directly comparable. EcoFlow states 4,000 cycles to 80 percent capacity. Anker states LFP with 3,000+ cycles, also to 80 percent. Both publish a 5 year warranty.
Anker separately markets "EV-grade LFP batteries with 10+ years of lifespan." That is a lifespan claim, not a cycle-life specification and not a warranty term. The warranty on both units is 5 years, and a warranty is the only one of the three that is enforceable.
Charging, which is the underrated spec
If you expect to refill the unit from panels rather than from the wall, Anker's numbers are better: 3,200 W of solar input across two 11 to 165V MPPT inputs, against EcoFlow's 2,600 W across two ports. On AC, Anker publishes 1,800 W max charging and a 1,440 W bypass ceiling, both explicitly qualified as 120V at 15A for under three hours and 12A continuous. EcoFlow publishes AC charging at 100 to 240V, 15A, charge only, with a separate bypass mode capped at 120V.
For a multi-day outage that is the difference between a unit you can refill in a day of sun and one you cannot. For time-of-use shifting off a wall outlet, it barely matters.
Which one to pick
- A 240V load is the reason you are buying: the F3800 Plus, which puts 6,000 W through a 25A L14-30R port, half again what the DELTA Pro 3 can deliver in total.
- You want a spec table with no blanks: the DELTA Pro 3, which publishes surge, UPS switchover, single-unit expansion, IP rating and cycle life where the F3800 Plus publishes four of those five as nothing.
- Solar recharging carries the plan: the F3800 Plus, at 3,200 W of published input against 2,600 W.
- The battery will cycle daily: the DELTA Pro 3, at 4,000 cycles to 80 percent against 3,000+, on the same measurement basis.
- Weight and footprint matter: the DELTA Pro 3 at 113.54 lb, roughly 23 lb lighter, though both are heavy enough that placement is a decision and not an afterthought.
